Longing

Sheds of grey emptied themselves in clear blue skies, forming a collage of blue and grey up above, like an amalgam of past and present.

Cool, subtle winds blew from every corner, running shivers and painting goosebumps of pain on my skin.

White shiny pearls were thrown all over, which would roll themselves to find their string on the ground.

That pure earthy essence which would spread and release locked minds and unclog blocked thoughts.

Rhythm of synchronised drops created an unsung melody all through the air.

My footprints were welcomed with shallow ponds, filled with uncertain depths.

Dampness in the air was heavier than the moisture of resentment in my eyes.

Broken roads stood as a barrier at the threshold, which seemed quite stubborn to mend my destiny.

Lost blocks of pavement resembled those happy memories that existed, but somehow refused to fit in the picture.

These rainy days…..
